January 12/2013 A safe water project launched in Modjo Town, Oromia State with 83 million Birr will go operational in the near future, the town administration said. Town Mayor, Sisay Bekele told ENA that three of the four deep water wells dug in the town will begin providing services to the public in April 2013. Sisay said the new water project will have capacity to produce 600 litres water per second. The project will contribute in the efforts to attract more investment to the town. He said installation of water pipelines is nearing completion. Head of the town potable water and sewerage service office, Yehualashet Deme on his part said the project will give service to 120,000 people for twenty years.
